Engine Cooling problem
2002 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 80+K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
There are no obvious signs of any leaks, in the cab or on the driveway. AC works fine and seems to drain properly from condenser drain line. Engine has not over heated and runs within the normal temp. Low coolent light comes on often, and coolent level does decrease slowly. It's as if it just evaporates. I don't think the heater is putting out as hot as it should. This is hard to tell though because we live in Hawaii. There is no sign of any water in the oil. I am thinking this could be a thermostat stuck closed. Where else can I look?

you could have a leak. check your water pump, water pump gaskets, and intake gaskets. these are the most common areas for leaks
