2002 Chevy Tahoe Center console latch breaking

My fold-down center console latch is really difficult to open; it's breaking.
Do I have to replace the entire console or can I get the part and replace it myself?

Also, where do I pry or how do I dissassemble it?

i think the latch is replaceable. call your local dealer they can tell you if they can get the part or not. as for removing it. you should be able to remove the bolts to get it out.
