I have a 2001 chevy tahoe and the A/C cuts out when the vehicle is running at low speeds when its very hot outside. Last time it cut out while driving slowly I stopped the vehicle and with the engine running opened the hood. After a few minutes the A/C clutch started clicking then stayed engaged and the A/C was working again making me believe that the HI PRESSURE SWITCH is probably failing. I ordered a new switch and see that its held in place by a snap ring. After evacuating the system can I remove the snap ring and switch without removing the compressor?
