brakes make noise and push back when I come to a stop?

If the noise you hear sounds like a growl or mechanical sound, chances are the ABS system is actuating. When this happens, the vehicle thinks one wheel is skidding and releases pressure to that wheel. The result is the noise and the feeling that the brake pedal becomes hard and fights you. In most cases, this is caused by a faulty wheel speed sensor.

What I suggest is this. The easiest thing to do is connect a scan tool to the vehicle that can provide live data from modules. Then, while driving, watch the speed indicated at each wheel and determine if one is off.

If you don't have or have access to a live data scan tool, you can check each sensor using a multimeter or voltmeter. Here is a link that shows how it is done:
