I just changed the water pump on my boyfriends tahoe. It had completely gone out and we thought all was good for a day and then he heard and I smelled the overheating we looked to the water pump first but no leak there so i continued to look around and found water bubbling out of the intake manifold on the passenger side haven't checked the drivers side yet it is night and late. He didn't have a new thermostat when i changed the pump but got one the next day (today) I was going to do that and oil change but now there is this new leak. I was reading online that chevy used a coolant in 99 and 2000 that caused the break down in the gaskets but have since changed the brand of coolant shouldn't that be some kind of recall on the truck if it is true. Is there any advise on the fastest way to deal with this do I need an entire gasket kit? i'm going to check right now to see if i can get a intake manifold gasket with the kit but i would love any advice that anyone can think of to make this job easier on me. I love to wrench on cars and motorcycles but still learn something new everyday and am not afraid to ask for advise
Thank you

You will need to replace the intake manifold gaskets. (Lower gaskets only)
