Engine Performance problem
1999 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
While driving my tahoe last night the check engine light came on. This morning we ran the code and it came back as a PO442 (Evaporative emission control system leak(small leak)). I have been getting horrible gas mileage up till now anyways, but this is the first code that it has ever thrown. I have read about it and it can be anything from a gas cap to a leak I know. I have checked the gas cap, the light comes back on after you drive it, so I don't think that is the problem. Where is the best place to start to look for a leak at? Many different web sites say many different things. This is my only vehicle and I drive late at night back and forth to work on very deserted roads and I do not want to break down. If you could please give me any advice. Thanks
