1998 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i changed the front brake pads on a 1998 chevy tahoe 2 wheel drive i used a c clamp to bring back the piston but the brakes wont work till the pedal is almost have way down do i need to bleed the brakes line or the abs and how do i do it and what is the procedureand are their any scan tool i need?

Yes, Bleed the brakes front and rear at this point. The next time you change your brakes, open the bleeder screw a bit when you are pushing the piston back in. The fluid in the brake line and caliper will get dirty and you do not want to push that bad fluid back into the brake system. And most of the time you will not have to bleed the brakes after doing this cause you are actually doing that while pushing in the caliper. I hope this helps.
