how much should i really be paying someone to put in a o2 sensor? i have a 97 tahoe.

you have the part or you paying them for the part also?
for the part maybe 100 bucks tops and 30 minutes of labor at the most.
so 120 bucks at the most i would say.
all it does is simply unbolt, unhook a connector, bolt in new one and hook up connector.
pretty simple. you could do yourself and save.
