1997 Chevy Tahoe Fuel pump blowing ECM-B fuse

Never a problem with this truck however,this morning,I tried to crank it and immediately checked fuses and found the ecm-b fuse blown.Replaced the fuse ,put key in on position to listen for fuel pump and heard it come in,but about a second later heard the fuse blow again.I ran out of 20a fuses and out of curiousity used a 30a, and it held (not that I'd run it that way),but thought the fact that it held may shine a little more light on the problem.Any suggestions? Thanks.

Its shorting out some where within the fuel pump circuit-disconnect the fuel pump connector and try again-blows remove the fuel pump relay and see what happens

That was one of the first things i did.Could it be the pump itself?And if was simply a short,would the wire not have burned when the 30a fuse held?

I know it wasn't much of a donation,but expected a less generic answer.Anyone else have any sugestions.It would be greatly appreciated.This is my only vehicle and I'm stranded here.

Sometimes it shows and not at all-to rule out the fuel pump set a jumper wires with an inline fuse same amperage and power it from the battery and see what happens-could very well be the computer control of the fuel pump relay circuit
