1995 Chevy Tahoe zipping like noise

After taking the truck out of 4 wheel drive I have a "zipping" noise and you can feel like something trying to "catch" under the drivers feet. any suggestions

try putting it back in 4wd and move forward and reverse then put it in 2wd, sounds like its being lazy disengaging the front differential. goint forward and reverse should take care of it. make sure the shifter is all the way in 2wd
