1995 Chevy Tahoe tire wear

Less than a year ago I put 22" rims and new tires on my 1995 Tahoe. I also has the front end alligned and the breaks checked. My right fron tire wears on the outer edge and I have replaced it twice already. How often should I need to have the front end alligned? I had them rotated 6 months after I had the allignment done. It's just crazy to be wearing the tread off so quick, the rainy weather is here and I need to be safe with my kids in the car. How do I tell if the shocks or struts are bad? Thanks for being here and helping out single moms. It helps when we go to a shop and know what to tell the techs without sounding dumb.

22" wheels are very heavy and your suspension was not built for 22" wheels. This can wear the suspension at a much higher rate than the stock wheels.

You may have to align the vehicle more often now with aftermarket wheels. Shocks/struts would be very rare to cause abnormal tire wear. You may want to have the alignment shop check your wheel bearings and control arms to ensure they are not worn. This could cause the wheel to lean slightly inward or , in your case it seems, outward which would result in quicker tire tread wear.
