Engine Mechanical problem
1986 Chevy Tahoe 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

Our Chevy S-10 blazer (the lil one) was hard to start. My husband changed out a lot of parts and still it was getting harder and harder start to the point of it not starting. We changed out the coil and now we have no spark. Put the old one back in and still no spark. We had spark until we changed we changed the coil, we only changed it for it was original and thought it was getting to old. This blazer has everything new in the engine now but it is deader than a doorknob.
We get gas when you turn the key on but no spark. We changed out the Electronic Spark control module, one of the last original parts and still no good. We are banging our heads on the wall. It has a new distributor & rotor, iginition module, coil, ESC module, plugs & wires, fuel pump & screen, the engine is only 5years old, and transmission was rebuilt 6years ago. Hope there is an answer to this, my husband is a mechanic and this is bothering him completely. He has been the only mechanic on this rig.

Check the distributor pick -up coil resistance and for short to ground. Do you have battery voltage to the coil? Might be the computer not picking up an ignition reference signal and the computer not firing the coil

We have the replaced that part also. We even put in the old computer we have for we have replaced
that also to see if it was the new computer. the old one was saying there was a emmision problem when there wasn't. Still nothing. Can these cars just up and die and not be brought back to life? Ever? I'm just fustrated sorry.
