It has a occasional real bad shimmy-shake in the steering

HI, I am new to carpros and I am having difficulty with my 1999 Chevy Suburban. It has 180,000. It has a occasional real bad shimmy-shake in the steering. If I go over a bump it is real bad. Most of the time it drives normal.

180 K it might need the front end rebuilt. Check the Idler arm (pass side)
