My 1995 Chevy Suburban, automatic, 166,000 miles, 5.7 L engine is running very roughly at low RPM's. I have had a code appear, 43, which indicated an Oxygen Sensor issue. I have replaced that to no avail. I have also replaced spark plugs; fuel filter; air filter, and coolant sensor. Nothing works. No code has reappeared. It almost sounds and feels as if it is choking, or flooding at 700 to 2000 RPM's, then runs fine above 2100 RPM's. I was advised by one mechanic to have the catalytic converter drilled into, to see if it was clogged; but another mechanic advised that it would run the reverse of what it is: poor at higher RPM's, fine at lower. It idles fine, with an occasional stutter and die, but nothing consistant. Any thoughts?
