2003 Chevy Suburban Fuel Pump

Orange engine light came on indicating a problem. Brought in to shop (Good Year)
They replaced (3) oxygen sensors. When I picked up the car idle was rough, turns out fuel pump is now bad.
Question:
1 Why would fuel pump go out after replacing oxygen sensors, coincidence?
2 They are putting in an after market fuel pump. Will an after market pump work in a 2003 suburban?

The O2 sensors and the fuel pump have nothing to do with each other. As far as the aftermarket pump, yes it will work, and you will save a lot of money getting that rather than a factory one. I assume they determined the fuel pump was bad by checking fuel pump pressure. Do you have the results of this test? Also, make sure there are no vacuum lines off. That can cause a rough idle too and cost nothing to fix.
