2002 Chevy Suburban Power steering assist just stopped.

Last night I made a u-turn with the wheels turned fully to the left with no issues. Upon attempting to turn one mile later I had no power steering at all.

Pump has fluid, belt spins pump fine, no leaks.

No power assist in either turn direction.

I do notice a slight "clunk" in the steering wheel on small bumps, manhole covers, etc..

Apparently the shaft going into the pump sheared and thus everything appeared to be working. Upon removing the belt and putting a little pry pressure on the pulley it and the sheared shaft popped right out of the pump. Problem solved!
