I changed the battery and alternator 6 months ago. Last week, the battery voltage meter suddenly dropped and the truck lost power (did not stall). Had the battery tested, in the morning baterry tested bad. In the afternoon, battery tested good as did the alternator. Sometimes the truck drivers without incident, what can cause the change?

Some of the national brand autostores can load test the battery. I don't think I've heard of a load test showing bad in the morning and good in the everning?? The voltage readings can change. There are charging system trouble codes, if you have a charging system issue? Have the codes checked. Some of the national brand autostores used to check codes for free. Did the battery need charging?

A parasitic drain is a possibility, with everything turned off, 30ma is max drain, any more and you need to find the problem.
