Brakes problem
2000 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My 2000 1500 Suburban suddenly took on a very heavy pulsation in the rear during breaking. there is also a knocking in rythym with the pulse in the pedal. i am pretty capable of troubleshooting and repair but this is puzzling. The pads are worn and in need of replacement but i do not believe the pads are the extent of the problem. the pedal does a pretty deep dip every revolution as if the rotor was significantly thinner in one area. i do not drive this car as often as other family members so i am not sure how quickly it started.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

This will be a warped brake rotor, if you get a vibration in the steering as well it will be fronts, if you get a body vibration check the rears.
