2000 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My 2000 surburbans ABS light just comes on periodically even when you are not using the brakes. What could likely cause this.Thanks

could be a cracked tone ring, or damaged wheel sensor. tone ring is like a little sprocket thats connected to the. axle or hub assembley with little teeth on it, if one of those are chipped, then it will cause an intermittent abs light. in the rear they are usually connected to the drums or hub assembly
