1999 K1500 Suburban Steering Pull

1999 K1500 Suburban with 134,000 miles, 5.7l engine. My Suburban pulls to the right and has a steering wheel shake (mild) between 40 & 60 MPH. I've balanced and rotated the tires several time. The brakes have been inspected and check out green. Just completed a front end alignment and front end is in factory specs. After all of this, still have the right hand pull and wheel shake. What could be the cause of this? I was told that the Steering Wheel Position Sensor could be at fault. Please advise.

This sounds like a sticking brake caliper. When your brakes get hot sometimes the piston inside the caliper sticks. This is hard to diagnosis by just visually inspecting the brakes. With 134,000 miles it's a good idea to change the brake calipers anyway. Spend a little extra and put new ones on it's worth it believe me. I would put new rotors on it also if there is any shaking, but it may not be necessary. Normaly when a steering wheel sensor goes bad the steering will jump all around and it seems like the steering has a mind of it's own. Usually there will be a trouble light associated with sensor problem also. Let me know how you make out.
