I will be buying a travel trailer. How do I know what the towing capacity is for my 99 Suburban. I have been advise to find out what kind of transmission I have, and if it has a sperate cooler. How can I find the answers to these questions? Thanks. Great site!

the best way is to go to your local gm dealer with the vin number and they can check all the specs in a couple minutes. gear ratio, towing and oil coolers.
