1998 Chevy Suburban Anti-Freeze mixing with oil

Engine problem
1998 Chevy Suburban V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 129K miles

My Anti-Freeze is mixing with the oil and creating slush. Th anti-freeze is now burning thru the system and coming out of the tail pipe. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Most likley a headgasket or intake gasket leaking.

You gotta get that oil drained before is causes lower end damage to the motor.

You can pressure test the cooling system with the oil drained and the plugs out. If it is leaking through the intake, there will be coolant going into the oil pan and it can be collected with a cup under the plug hole.

IF nothing is coming there, spin the engine over and see if coolant shoots out any of the spark plug holes.

what if we do not have the proper tools for pressure testing. Is there any other way to check this problem

kind of tough...if there wasn't the mix going on, I would say warm the engine and plull the plugs then check for coolant in the cooling chambers.

You can pull the intake and check for voids in the gasket, compression test the cylinders if you have a gauge. The thing is you don;t want to run it with the mix in there...you don't even want it soaking in it.
