I noticed transmission fluid leaking under my truck earlier today. It didn't leak that much when the vehicle was in gear. As soon as I put it in park fluid pours out of the rear of the trans. I thought mybe the seal had blown out between the transfer case and the trans. After removing the transfer case I had went to unbolt the adapter plate from the transmission. I noticed a crack at the base of the trans case. when I unbolted the plate the 2 lower bolts came out the 2 upper bolts didn't have to be removed as the upper case came with it. I can't for the life of me figure out how this happened. All of my mounts are good and my vehicle isn't being abused. Any thoughts or should I contact a Chevy DLR. for recall?

I am unaware of any recalls, but it wouldn't hurt to call. Also, was anything loose?
