is your vehicle equipped with the tilt column or the standard column? which lights are working, the high beam or lo beam? may be a faulty fuse or relay instead of switch.

it has the tilt column, the lights are always on dim, when i pull the handle back to engage brights nothing happens..... no click nothing. i have checked all fuses and all relays are in good woking order, checked that already, i need to know how to pull the cover off of the steering wheel column so i can get to the switch that controls bright/dim. the plastic piece is broken... that switches back and forth. the column is all one piece. no screws to take out, i need to know how to get that off so i can replace that broken part

thanks.

You will actually have to remove and disassemble the entire steering column to replace the switch. I can give some detailed steps if you would like. Does it have the column shift or the floor shift?
