Engine Performance problem
1993 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 93 Chevy Suburban I just bought. According to the previous owner, it had been sitting the better part of 2 years, with him starting it from time to time. It had about 1/3 of a tank of gas when I bought it. On the 90 mile drive home, it began to stutter a little when I took off from a stop light. When I got it home, it began to almost die when I would accelerate, not going over 20 mph for a while, then it would kick in and go normal. Most times it drives fine. I took it to a shop and ultimately replaced: cat converter, fuel filter, some vaccuum hoses, cap, rotor, wires (they said plugs looked new), and the power train control module. They checked the fuel pump, EGR(?) valve, and "anything else" they thought it could be. The last item they thought was for sure the source was the control module. Oncce this was replaced it seemed to run great, and then it bogged down once again briefly. Could it be bad gas from sitting? I put some Lucas Treatment in and filled the tank with good gas but that didn't seem to help. Any help/ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

Check the fuel pressure . If it is good, then try rebuilding the throttle body. The throttle body could be clogged up after sitting all that time...
