1989 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

my suburban started on fire from loss of transmisson fluid im thinkin i found the leak just wondering what else i need to check to make sure itll still work before i go lookin for a new transmission any feed back would be helpful

Well I worked for many years with the BLM ( Bureau of land management) fighting forest fires with helicopters, I can probably help you but I need to know the extent of the damage, like how bad was the fire?, where did it start?, what did it burn?, what did you fix so far? and things like that.
