1987 Chevy Suburban map sensor

took it to workabout 2 mile trips, ran great to work on my way home it was lacking power hard to keep running. had to baby the gas to get home. the idle is poor up and down. Throttle body view gas spray at high idle looks good low idle poor flow of gas. put in gear and it will act of if it would die then the higher idle picks up and would try to move the suburban. checked for vaccuum leaks found nothing. unplug the vaccuum from front of throttle body and the engine sounds good and also in gear. I bought a new map sensor and that didn't make any change. Right now the map sensor vaccuum hose is off and I did not plug the hose. By me plugging the hose it idles to fast,so I left it unplugged. so it also acting like i have a vaccuum leak but run good. need help on this problem.
