Truck under water

Once you get the truck out of the water take out the battery. all the fluids will have to be replaced {rar end , oil, transmission fluid, brakefluid, gas} with so many electrical options they have you might to replace everything like computer, sensors, signal light flashers, bulbs? Take everything out of the truck and let them dry out. I am not saying everything will be bad, when water gets into the electrical it the parts have to be dried and even with them completly dried out they sometimes don't work and would short out. you will have water in the cylinders injectors and throttle body. Play it by ear and let the truck dry out for a while in the sun. leave the windows open to help evaporate and water inside the truck. I work part time at a Auto auction and had car come in from huricane kartina. for the most part they run. With reference to the lights sometimes they have to be dried out that includes the sockets. It might take some time but you should be able to get it to run. After it has dried out. Let me know how you make out!
