STUDDERS AT CRIUSING SPEED

May be a sticking exaust valve..Here is a simple test to determine this--You need an assistant--get an old tee shirt or a cloth rag--drive around for 15 minutes or so to get the engine hot and up to temperature (important)--get out and drape the tee-shirt close to the exaust pipe--observe and notice how it's blowing away from the exaust pipe; in the breeze?--now have your assistant press the throttle just a little tiny bit to get the rpms up to 1100 rpms; no higher. All the while observe the tee shirt. If at any point the tee-shirt sucks into the exaust pipe,even just a little--you have the classic case of an exaust valve sticking or not closing all the way..common as an engine gets old and carbon builds up..especially in the exaust port and on the port side of the vavle... Unfortunatly the cylinder head must be removed to fix a sticking exaust valve..let me know your findings
