I replaced my MAF with a performance cold air tuned MAF. Afterwards, my air conditioner was blowing hot air like the heat was full on. Performance wise I noticed an obvious increase in performance while driving, but obviously I couldn't use my AC.
I reinstalled the stock MAF, and my AC is back. How could the MAF affect the AC? Does this point to a partially malfunctioning MAF, or is something else need to be tweaked?
I have a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 5.3L VIN T engine with automatic transmission with a K&N FIPK installed. I have just shy of 50K miles on it.
