Three years ago I had this light come on. I took it in and the did some tests and confirmed it was a sensor that they didnt replace but the problem disapeared . So here I am now with the same problem but the light comes on intermittent the coolant is down about 3/4 litre and the technicians have placed dye into the tank to see if it's actually leaking. Can anyone tell me what is an acceptable level for the coolant. The truck is a 2001 Silverado 2wd. There are no spots on the ground and the coolant has never been changed. it has 84 000km's on it.
