2007 Chevy Silverado high water

Had to drive home in flooded streets yesterday. could not wait for water to go down. In low spot and loosing ground. Drove at 5 mph through water up to bottom of body. No malfunction but want to inspect for water. how can I check other places water could get into besides differentials? No real chance for water in engine or transmission. worried about front 4x4 hub assemblies. Electric shift on the fly. How well are they sealed? Everything was cool and wet so no hot quench to suck air in vents. Vehicle is 2500 diesel with std tires and 16" wheels. Inspection of underside once past water showed clean, no accumulation of sand or mud. Water totally fresh.

Being that your truck is an 07 the mechanical seals should be fine. The electrical connectors are designed in such a way that seals them from water and dirt. In theory they are air tight, but as time goes on this seal breaks down. I do not think that your truck is old enough to fear any electrical connector failure..If the water got up to the gas tank, inspect the top of the tank - with a mirror or something - for mud and dirt. This can retain moisture and cause your fuel tank to rust out in time.
Be sure to pump some grease in all of the front end grease fittings - this will ensure that all the water is out of the ball joints, tie rods, idler arm ETC. ETC.
