2007 Chevy Silverado AC turned off engine hot

I get "AC turned off engine hot" on my 2007 Chevy Silverado but the motor is not running hot,AC will not work and the temp gauge is on 160. The only way I can keep up with the temp is on my Trans temp. It stay's around 190 or so. Changed the thermostat and the temp. sensor. OBDII shows nothing.
Any Ideas. Has been on for 2 days now but it is really not running hot.

check the wire goin from the cts it goes the the guage on the dash that could be broken and check to make sure the cluch on the compresser isnt on even when u comand it to be off
