When shifting from 4HI to 4LO, in neutral, it will go rite in sometimes and sometimes all i hear is clicking in the actuator in the transfer case. Ran the scanner on it and all it had was a history code of front axle curcuit malfunction. Think it was C0395 or something like that. Would it be a problem with the actuator on the axle or the transfer case? The one on the transfer case makes all of the noise and the axle sounds fine when going from 2 to 4 or vice-versa.

I would say it is the front axle. Either the wiring or the solenoid that engages the front axle. On the electronic 4-wheel drive, the front dive shaft (through the transfer case) is always moving (has power to it). What engages the 4-HI or 4-LO is the shift-shaft fork on the front axle when you press the button on your dash. That completes the circuit and powers the solenoid, pulling the shift fork (in front axle) which in turn engages the gear in the front axle that employs power to the front CV joints.
