i just bought this 2004 chevy silverado SS.. after driving it for a little bit i noticed the RPM gauge started bouncing around like a heartbeat. i didnt think to awful much about it just figured i needed to get it recalled for the gauges (i believe the once had a recall on them).. i pulled into a gas station air up the tires, turned on the blinker and there was nothing? i stopped and turned it off and it had power just wouldnt start back up. its done this a couple times since and now i can tell when its going to happen by the gauge and the blinker.. i currently parked it in the driveway and tried right after i turned it off and there was nothing... a few hours later out of curiosity went out and it started right up? any ideas? thanks!

sounds like you have a bad ground, if it is only the cluster just doing it the bad ground would be on the back of the cluster, if i understand it right you shut down the vehicle and it dont start you could have a bad ground either on the battery or on the block
also check the computer grounds on the back of the cylider head that could also cause that problem but im leaning to a bad ground or a cable with to much resistance
