I have a 04 Silverado Z71 and notice when I am in 4WD it makes a very loud noise and sounds like grinding when I am turning. I never remember this noise from the years I have had the truck (Bought new) I took it to the dealership and they replaced the hub assembly on the drivers side.It still makes the noise when turning and wondering if I just don't remember how loud it really is. I do not use it but a handfull of times in a year.
