Timing chain replacement

I am not experiencing any problems with this right now, and I would not like to experience any in the future. When should I replace the timing chain on my 01 Silverado? It currently has ~126,000 miles and no major problems so far. Thank you for your time and help.

I have seen them run 300k+ miles with no problems. If you are really worried about it, you could have it done around 150k.

when should you replace the timing chain on a 2000 chevy silverado 4x4?

There is no real maintenance schedule for that, I have seen them go 200k without issues.

how you know when time to change your timing chain

when the timing chain either makes a loud slapping noise or usually your truck will be very hard tostart or even run. they don't go bad that often. If you really feel like doing yours go ahead as you have alot of miles on it.
