I have a 6" fabtech kit installed on my truck. I have successfully blown 3 of the 4 shocks that come with the kit. The rancho RS9000XL's showed up at my door for my birthday. After doing research the shocks are the correct part # for my application.
The Front shocks will install if I have the A-arm at the right degree. But I do need to grind the factory bump stops to get the boot & the cylinder to install without rubbing.
The rear shocks however will not install normally. The body of the shock is too fat and will not fit into the OEM brackets attatched to the rear axle. Is there a Kit to widen the lower shock bracket available? Or am I looking at a grind to fit application, One friend even said heat it up & bend ithem to fit the shocks? What is your recommendation?
