Glov box will not open,stuck?

can anyone let me know how to get my glove box open? It was closed at the time of purchase,I am the second owner and probably have the repair manual IN the glove box.

hmmmm..... You may have to try removing the glove box door to see if you can get to the lock to pop it open

In the diagram below it shows the location of the screws (1) and rivets(2)
