2002 Chevy Silverado changing out my alternator.

I'm changing out my alternator.
I'm not sure how to loosen their belts.
Appreciate any help that you could give thanks.

There is an automatic belt tensionier. It rides on a pivot. All you need to do is turn it in the direction to loosten the belt to remove and replace the belt. If you need routing information, refer to the belt routing diagrams site listed on this page.
