Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2001 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
The service 4 wheel drive light came on. I have replace the dash switch. Which did not fix the problem. I have no lights come on the switch and no 4 wheel drive engaging. I have been told probably the encoder motor is bad or the sensor is bad. I do have 12 volts on the back of the switch but no lights come on the switch. I also tried to get a test light to come on at the plug going into the encoder motor with no volts (I could only check 3 of the 6 wires at the plug. Is there any way I can insure the problem to be the motor or the sensor? Why no lights on the switch? No blown fuses anywhere that I can find.Any help would be great.
