2000 Silverado, no power to front wheels

I have a 2000 Silverado z71 with push button 4WD. When i put my truck into 4wd i can hear it engage and i can feel the gears shifting but the front wheels don't spin, i found this out after getting stuck in the mud, my gears get lower and everything, but the front tires don't spin.....actuator motor????

no , if you can hear the transfer case go into gear the encoder motor is ok , if you have the ifs frt end you will have a differential locking switch on the front diff its about 14 bucks , if the t case in engaging but not locking the diff this is it , if you have a dvom you can check the resistance on the switch , its like a neutral safety switch
