I was driving home from the city and noticed alot of steam coming from under the hood and under the truck, then lmy ights started to dim/brighten frequently. I look at my gauges and notice my "low coolant" light is on, i am starting to overheat and the voltage is creeping down as well as a squeeling sound from the belt under the hood. I pull over and notice the whole engine compartment under the hood is soaked with engine coolant... I couldnt find any obvious hoses/connection leaks... and looked at the ground... not too much coolant on the ground, I mean it was alot because something had ruptured, primary spot for the leak on the ground was directly under engine(right hand side) and before the oil pan.. the leak was a steady drip from above.. I have a skid plate there to protect my tansfer case so this was an accumulation point Im guessing for it to leak onto the ground... any suggestions as to what happened? I had to leave the truck about 30mi from the house.. didnt want to take any chances.
