I recently changed the oil and filter in my Silverado from a synthetic blend to a conventional 5w-30. When driving around town, no problem. When on the freeway, the oil pressure dropped low enough to allow the check oil pressure light to come on. I let the engine cool down, then resumed travel with no problem. Someone suggested changing to 10w30 or 10w40. Any ideas would be welcome.
