ok first off i dont have a great deal of mechanical know how. my transmission is leaking a decent amount of fluid. the leak is coming from just above the oil pan. from the little that i do know i figure that the seal and bushing need to be replaced. i am capable of getting a friend of mine to help me out with thsi i just need to know how to figure out what type of transmission i have. when the vehicle was bought we got every power option other than the 6.0 (only becauase they didnt have any left). any help at all wiith this problem would be greatly appreciated.

If you call the dealers part department and give them you VIN. number they can tell you for sure - But if you look at the side of the tranny it will tell you there. You either have a 4L80e or a 4L60E. It is probably a 4L80e...Look for either of these numbers on the side of your tranny.
