Hi, IF the *DEALERSHIP* couldn't be more specific about what they found out was wrong, take my advice, FIND ANOTHER ONE ASAP!!
That is the biggest piece of hogwash I've ever heard.
If the DEALERSHIP, which is probably charging you like $150/hr to 'troubleshoot' your probem, can only give you such VAGUE advice, in order to run up the BILL, I'd say, take it to someplace else.
Cars and trucks aren't ROCKET SCIENCE. These mechanics at the dealerships have an interest in keeping you there. They rely on their reputation as being among the 'best trained', and ' factory trained'.
Don't believe it for a second. The dealerships, supposedly, have the BEST trained mechanics, especially for their make of vehicle. They also have the best tools, and the proprietery software to dig into the cpu of the car. The cpu of todays car isn't anymore complicated than the cpu of the 1986 SPACE SHUTTLE. So if the service manager or mechanic gives you a vague answer or the run-runaround, RUN to a new mechanic.
