1999 Chevy Silverado Carrier Bearing or Center Bearing: How

I have purchased a new carrier or center bearing for my 2WD Chevy Silverado 4.8L V8.

So far I have:
removed the drive shaft at the rear U-joint
removed the existing worn center bearing
slid the entire drive shaft out of the transmission housing
taken the two driveshafts apart
removed MOST of the existing worn center bearing

Here is my problem:
The existing, worn center bearing (that I'm still not 100% sure had to be replaced, I'm doing this on the advice of another mechanic...but that's another story) did not want to come off the driveshaft. So I had to remove it with a pry bar and a small sledge hammer. As you can imagine, the old one pretty much fell apart, but left the interior collar of the whole assembly still on the driveshaft. This is the inner race where the ball bearings of the center bearing sit and rotate around the shaft. I've used a small torch to heat it, a pry bar and I still can't get that inner collar off.

Obviously I cannot install the new one and get this truck back on the road until this is replaced and the driveshaft reinstalled.

PLEASE HELP...sigh.

witch one of these do you have if it is the top one the bearing is press fit
