Part 1.
Just recently I started noticing every morning I would find my doors unlocked. After a couple of weeks now in the morning my battery is always dead. My alternator seems to be working because I can drive the truck around for 30 minutes or drive to work (1 hour drive) and when I go back to start the truck it starts fine.
Part 2.
I have had a continued problem with my front passenger side breaks sticking causing my truck to pull to the right. This break pad wears down twice as fast as the front driver side. The break caliper seems to be getting stuck, keeping pressure even while my foot is off the break. I changed the calipers and break lines (both) and put on new break pads. Then I went and got an alignment. Still had the same problem. Someone suggested that it could still be the break lines, saying that AutoZone's break lines were known to be insufficient and they recommended I use break lines bought from a Chevy dealership. Once again I replaced the calipers and pads since all the parts were still under warranty and bought new break lines from the dealership. All went well as I am getting very good at changing all these components. Still had the problem of the truck pulling. I can tell the calipers are still sticking because I can lift the truck and see that the caliper is putting more pressure on the passenger side break.
At this point I gave up and decided to take the truck to a mechanic. They said the caliper was bad and changed it even though I said I had just changed both of them. I guess they did not believe I did it right or something. As I expected the truck still pulled to the right. So then they suggested the break lines needed to be changed. At this point I decided to take the truck to the dealership. To no suprise the Chevy dealership when through the same steps. First they changed the caliper, pad, and then the break line.
I finally gave up and decided that I would live with the pull and just by the break pad with a lifetime warranty and replace it every 6 - 8 months.
If you have any ideas I would love the help.
