1995 Chevy Silverado

sounds to me like your brake lines are bad and the internal linings on the front brake lines are causing a one way check valve. will they release eventaully if you let it set say overnight?

Thanks for the reply I think you are right, that it could be the rubber brake lines. It will bleed off over night and I noticed today that the brake fluid was black. Do you think when I replace the lines that I should take a air hose and blow the metal lines out back toward the master cylinder,and will it have any effect on the anti-lock. I thank you for the help as I have had little experence on brakes.

you do not want to run the the fluid through and dirt with air into the master. will contaminate the seals. keep master cylinder full with help of assistant and replace the steel lines. dont blow them out. just dont let the brake fluid level get low.

Thanks blackop555, Iwas thinking about chinging the ruber lines that go from the body to the calaber and taking the line off the master cylinder and blow the bad fluid out as it is black in the master cylinder.Do you think that would be a bad idea or should I just replace the metal line back to the anti-lock and also from the anti-lock to the master cylinder?would I then need to clean the master clyinder out as the fluid looks contaminated in the master cylinder.
