1994 Chevy Silverado windshield wiper motor

Hello 1craig1 Is the question about how to install the windshield motor in your Chevy? Remove the cowl vent grille

Disengage the wiring connector from the motor

Remove the drive link-to-crank arm fasteners

Slide the links from the arm

Remove the motor mounting bolts

Remove the motor from the vehicle

Gentlemen;

The question I asked was not answered to my satisfaction. The pictures that accompanied
the answer can be found in "Chilton's" manual (8055) 2864 General Motors
full-size trucks 1988-96 pages 6-48 and 6-49.

The reason I asked the question was that the motor was bench tested and the motor turned
thus changing the position of the original set of driveshaft. Thus the starting position
of this arm will make it more of a trial and error method of attaching the crank arm
fasteners to the motor driveshaft....which could be very time consuming?

The problem you explain happens when the motor was remove and the wiper switch was not in park.
I agree with you that it could be time consuming to get it back right..
Install it, turn the switch in park position, then remove the wipers arm and reposition them back.

can i use old drive shaft connection on new winshied wiper motor

you should be able to with out a problem, if you leave the arm off an connect the motor, cycle the wipers they will self park and place the blades at park position as well, everything should line up then.

im with mhp.put a jumper wire from the motor to a good ground.then with the switch in off and key on plug in the connecter the motor will run to park pos. then install and resecure the wiper linkage.
